Dear Wrestling,
I just got home from a Smackdown house show. I will now ramble and rant and gush and attempt to synthesize this into the me-now that suddenly exists.
I saw Sami and Kevin tag. I saw a tag team match with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and they were on the same side. I saw Shinsuke Nakamura and on another day that would blow my mind and be the highlight, probably, except that I SAW KEVIN PUT HIS ARM AROUND SAMI. I saw him throw Halloween decorations off the stage after they lost and I saw a hot tag between them.
I chanted Ole for Sami Zayn tonight. I even chanted Mister Wrestling at Kevin, because hey, in for a penny, right?
I never thought I'd have this. I didn't think they'd tag together this soon, I didn't think I'd be well off enough to see them if they did--or, it would be too far away. Or on a night I worked. Something.
This has been a story that happened to other people for so long--I mean, the entirety of it, but also for my whole fandom. I was a fan of them from almost the first moment, and then I found their history, and so for almost my entire time in this fandom, I've yearned for what I can't have.
But now I can. I did. I'm still almost in shock. My sister took a picture of me and while it's impossible for a picture of me to be flattering, it is the most accurate picture of me that I've seen in at least a decade.
Yeah. I think that's pretty much it for now. I love you, you're amazing, you are alchemy and magic and I am so, so lucky.
